My journey in primary education has spanned more than 25 years, and along the way I’ve been fortunate to work in a range of roles — from classroom teacher to headteacher, and later as an executive leader within a multi-academy trust and as an education consultant across the East and South East of England.

Throughout my career, I’ve been drawn to work that supports growth and improvement — whether that’s through developing a rich and meaningful curriculum, strengthening teaching, learning and assessment, or helping schools navigate change. At the heart of this has always been a belief that when people are given the right support and space, they can achieve great things.

Over time, this belief led me naturally into coaching. As an EMCC-accredited coach, I now work with both individual leaders and leadership teams. I find real value in creating spaces where people can pause, reflect, and think deeply — because it’s often in these moments that new perspectives emerge and meaningful change begins.

My professional learning includes the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), the National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership (NPQEL), and a Master’s in Professional Studies in Education. While these have shaped my thinking, it is the people I’ve worked alongside — colleagues, leaders, and school communities — who have most influenced the way I approach my work today.

I bring compassion and curiosity to everything I do. I believe in the power of thoughtful questioning, gentle challenge, and deep reflection. Above all, I value collaboration and strive to create environments where people feel safe to explore ideas, share openly, and think differently about what’s possible.
